Italy fines Intesa Sanpaolo 18 mln euros for illicit processing of customer data

Italy’s data protection authority fined Intesa Sanpaolo 17.6 million euros. The penalty relates to the illicit processing of data from about 2.4 million customers. The bank unilaterally moved this data to its digital unit, Isybank. The authority announced the fine on Thursday.
