WASHINGTON, Jan 17 — NASA rolled its giant Space Launch System rocket to the launchpad on Friday.
The move supports preparations for the agency’s second Artemis moon mission.

However, the agency said the rollout marked a key milestone.
The rocket traveled from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the pad.

Meanwhile, NASA said Artemis II will carry astronauts.
The mission will fly humans around the moon.

Because of the complex system checks, the rollout took several hours.
Teams monitored the rocket throughout the journey.

In addition, engineers will now conduct final tests at the pad.
These checks include fueling and countdown rehearsals.

Despite this progress, NASA has not announced a precise launch date.
Officials said schedules depend on test results and weather.
