Some clients of QatarEnergy, including Shell and TotalEnergies, have declared force majeure to customers who take liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar through them. This information was provided by three sources to Reuters on Wednesday. Other companies in Asia connected to Qatar LNG have also made similar force majeure declarations to their customers. The declarations involve clients receiving Qatari LNG via these intermediaries.
