Thomson Reuters has appointed Gary E. Bischoping Jr. as its new chief financial officer. Bischoping will assume the role on May 8. He will succeed Mike Eastwood, who is retiring as part of a planned transition. Bischoping is set to join Thomson Reuters on April 13.
Bischoping previously worked as a partner at Hellman & Friedman, a private equity firm. Before that, he spent more than 17 years at Dell Technologies. At Dell, he held senior roles, including CFO and treasurer of a division.
The change in leadership reflects Thomson Reuters’ ongoing financial management strategy. Eastwood’s retirement marks the end of a transition period. Bischoping’s experience in technology and private equity could influence the company’s future financial direction.
Leadership changes in major firms like Thomson Reuters often signal shifts in financial strategy and corporate governance priorities.
