Vijay Kedia acquires stakes in Mahamaya Lifesciences and SPML Infra in Q4.

Ace investor Vijay Kedia increased his smallcap exposure in the March quarter by acquiring a 4.53% stake in Mahamaya Lifesciences and a 1.88% stake in SPML Infra. Kedia is recognized for identifying multibagger opportunities, and these additions reflect his preference for SME and niche growth stories.

Mahamaya Lifesciences, incorporated in 2002, manufactures, registers, and exports crop protection products and bioproducts. The company specializes in pesticide formulations and supplies bulk products to Indian agrochemical companies and multinational corporations. Its IPO launched in November last year at a price band of Rs 108-114 per share, with the stock delivering 57% returns over the issue price.

Kedia also purchased nearly 15 lakh shares of SPML Infra, an infrastructure company focused on smart water solutions. SPML has rallied 26% in the past month, recovering from previous underperformance. Kedia’s portfolio includes 20 stocks with a net worth exceeding Rs 1,177 crore.
