Lloyds Group Acquires Over 5% Stake in Bharat Wire Ropes

Lloyds Group companies have acquired more than 5 percent equity stake in Bharat Wire Ropes through open market transactions on April 17. Bharat Wire Ropes shares were locked in a 20 percent upper circuit at Rs 221.96, the highest level since July 10, 2025. Lloyds Metals and Energy purchased 20 lakh shares at Rs 193.42 per share, while Lloyds Enterprises bought 11.46 lakh shares at Rs 215.17 per share and 5 lakh shares at Rs 215 per share. This represented a 5.31 percent equity stake worth Rs 74.11 crore.

In a separate transaction, HCP Investments sold 48 lakh shares (5.53 percent equity stake) in Ind-Swift Laboratories at Rs 134.18 per share, valued at Rs 64.4 crore. Ind-Swift Labs shares fell 9.32 percent to Rs 131.86 on the National Stock Exchange. HCP Investments has offloaded a total of 6.65 percent stake in two days against its 8.65 percent shareholding as of February 24, 2026.

Sahastraa Advisors and Nova Global Opportunities Fund PCC – Touchstone also bought shares in Ind-Swift Labs during this period.
